Royal Rajasthan

Dear all greetings and Happy New Year to all reading this!May this year will be filled with lots of new adventures and travels and with this it reminded me of the time back in 2016 when I celebrated my new year in The Land of Kingdoms, "Rajasthan

Me and my family wanted to visit Jaipur since a long time however due to our busy schedules, we were unable to do so. So finally, this time, when we had the opportunity,  we decided to go for it and see the beautiful ‘Pink City’ and all its charms.

We started from my father friend's place in Delhi at around 6:30am and we reached Jaipur by 12pm. The journey was fine and upon our arrival, we checked into our hotel and rested for a while.

Around 3pm, we began our sightseeing, and the driver took us to see the famous Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Both of these places were fabulous and exuded fine architecture and a historical charm that is hard to match.

Next up was Albert hall and Birla Temple , again awesome experiences that reminded us the kind of heritage Jaipur held. Post this, we visited the famous village resort – Chokhi Dhani .

This village resort was an interesting experience and showcased the life of rural and villages in a beautiful manner. There were shops for handicrafts, games, swings, haunted house, shows, and even camel rides for entertainment.

The food experience here, however, we loved the good as it was a typical Rajasthani meal which was very different from our regular meal but the restaurant was overcrowded and our turn came almost after 3 hours. Then we decided to conclude our day and go back to hotel.

Next morning, after a quick breakfast, we visited the Amber Fort . This place was an excellent experience and we even did an elephant ride here. Post the fort visit, we had our lunch and then paid a visit to the Nahargarh Fort. The view from the top of this fort was breathtaking and we enjoyed watching the sunset here.

After this, we rode downhill and visited the Jal mahal that was on our way. This was followed by a visit to the local market where we also did some shopping. Overall, the day was full of adventure and interesting experiences and we really enjoyed a lot.

This day post breakfast, we started our road journey back to Delhi.

Jaipur was a very good short holiday experience for us. It was near Delhi, had amazing monuments to explore, and was full of royal and cultural charm that is hard to find anywhere else. The people of the city were really hospitable and our driver was very knowledgeable and understanding too. Overall, the trip was a nice escape from the usual bustles of daily life and offered us a refreshing holiday experience.
